Q:   What is @america at Pacific Place?

A:   The @america facility is a pioneering initiative in public diplomacy, brought to you by the American people. We are a one-of-a-kind cultural center with a fully equipped performance stage and tiered seating gallery, exhibition area with quarterly projected image exhibitions, state-of-the-art technologies, and educational resources; and a classroom area for intimate workshops and meetings. We are located on the 3rd Floor of Pacific Place Mall in the Sudirman Central Business District in Jakarta, Indonesia.

 

 

Q:   When is @america open?

A:   The facility is open every day of the year, Monday – Friday, 1pm – 9pm and Saturday, 10am – 9pm. 

 

 

Q:   Do I have to pay admission to come to @america at Pacific Place?

A:   The @america facility and all of its programs are free and open to the public. 

 

 

Q:   How do I become a member?

A:   You can register on-site or visit the Membership Login section in the right sidebar. Simply click “Register” and complete the membership form, or use Facebook Connect to import your contact details. After registering, don’t forget to subscribe to our newsletter.

 

 

Q:   What events or programs are offered at @america??

A:   @america hosts programs on diverse topics such as education, the environment, music and arts, science and technology, and entrepreneurship. Each year we host hundreds of programs—all in partnership with individuals and organizations in Indonesia and the United States. Want to collaborate with us? @america welcomes programming ideas and opportunities to collaborate on events that help us to fulfill our mission. Q:   Where can I park?

A:   Pacific Place offers secured parking spaces in the lower levels of the mall. The mall’s parking entrances are located on both the Bursa Efek Jakarta and Artha Graha building sides.

 

 

Q:   How do groups visit @america?

A:   We welcome families and community groups to drop by our center any time during opening hours. Planning a special meetup? Consider submitting a proposal for a public program to gain access to our classroom area for your event. Please visit the Collaborate with Us page to learn more. We also welcome schools to visit our facility and offer a special tour for middle and high school students. Submit a school visit request here.

 

 

Q:   Is photography allowed at @america?

A:   We welcome you to document your @america experience. Don’t forget to mention us when you share your pics with your friends on social media! Please let security know when you arrive if you would like to bring an SLR or other large camera inside. Flash photography during performance area programs is not permitted.

 

 

Q:   Is @america at Pacific Place accessible for people with disabilities?

A:   The @america facility welcomes all differently abled visitors, including those who need wheelchair or other special facilities access. When you arrive, security will be happy to assist you.

 

 

Q:   What should visitors keep in mind while visiting @america?

A:   Prepare to be transported to the United States when you arrive at @america! But first, you need to pass through security. Security will scan all of your belongings, and you’ll pass through a metal detector before entering the exhibition area. You will also be directed to check all of your personal belongings into one of our lockers. But don’t forget to keep your mobile phone with you for selfies, Snapchats, and live Tweeting!

 

 

Q:   What do I do if I lose something at @america?

A:   Contact one of our security officers or e-guides on duty for immediate assistance if you lose something at @america.
